L2 EAD renewal- L1 type changed

My visa category has changed from L1B to L1A in july 2021. my wife's EAD application is in process before the conversion, so she applied for renewal when i was in L1B.

does she have to apply fresh as visa is changed to L1A?

Hi,
L1B to L1A will be considered as change of status.. Therefore, Per my knowledge, you will need to also file another petition for dependent Employment. Why because, L1A and L1B will have different visa approval durations. For final confirmation, Kindly have a discussion with Immigration Attorney then move forward.
