L1A visa stamping in a different country

Hi Everyone,

I have a query regarding L1A visa stamping. My petition recently got approved and I have received I797. I am now looking for visa stamping
I noticed in I797 document that USCIS has mentioned they have sent approval notice to New Delhi consulate plus they have mentioned of I-824 requirement if approval notice is to be notified to a different consulate.

I might go to NZ soon as I am NZ PR and my query is if I opt for visa stamping in NZ, do I need to file I-824 so that NZ consulate is notified or it is not required ?

You can surely go to other countries for stamping - but pls see the rules in their portal in the category of a Third Country National.
There are specific rules around visa application and travel due to COVID.

Also, Australian embassy warns that one should ideally apply for visa in their territory only.

it’s more of a legal question and I think your attorneys helping you out in documentation will be beat able to answer this. I saw on US Embassy in NZ website but couldn’t find anything.

you can write an email to the NZ Embassy with your question - that might work.

Thanks very much vaibhav384. Yes, I wrote to attorney as well, awaiting feedback. Meanwhile, I think its a good idea to get in touch with NZ embassy.
