Filing L2 separately from L1B blanket (India)

I am planning to apply for L1B blanket. In India this can only be done from Chennai. Since I am based in Mumbai, I was wondering if my wife/daughter can apply for an L2 separately from Mumbai? The consulate seems ok about this but does anyone have any experience with this? Will I need to wait for my L1B to be approved and get back my passport before booking an appointment for my wife? Will she have any issues going separately?

My daughter is one year old so I believe she doesnt need to attend interview. Can my wife submit her documents during her L2 appointment?

Answer: Yes. Once you get L1B visa approval, with that, they can process L2 visa separately.

Answer: A friend of mine did the same. They got L2 Approval after L1 Approval.

Answer: Nothing problem you will have if they go separately. All you need to do is, provide all necessary documents, petitions and supporting evidence.

Answer: Yes. She can submit all necessary documents at the time of L2 visa interview. Your kids need not to present unless they ask.
