Uk transit visa

Hi All-
I am planning India vacation next month via London. I came to US on L1-B visa which is valid till Nov,2011. Last year I got H1B visa and now working on H1B. Still do I need Transit Visa in UK? My passport has L1B visa till next year end.
Please advise...

Your L1 visa will work. All they need to see is whether you have a valid Visa or not, you need not be in the same status. There is no status once you exit the US anyway. My wife had transited London last year with a previous Visa even after her status changed while in the US.

Hi OP,

As mentioned by sherwin in the link....Check with Airlines you are flying with...

Just having the valid visa doesn;t mean that you don;t need Transit Visa...
It depends other factors also ..like your stoppage time /changing of gates/terminals etc...

UK Transit Visa

Layover period is about 2-3 hrs in London and I will not go out of Airport.
