L2 EAD New/Renewal

I am a L2 visa applicant. My husband on L1A got his visa extended on 3rd September’21. My visa application was submitted along with my husband and received my receipt number on 7th April’21. I need to apply for L2 EAD which expired on April’21.

Can I apply for L2 EAD while my visa is under process?
Can I request to expedite L2 visa process?
Should I apply for new EAD application OR EAD renewal application?

Can I apply for L2 EAD while my visa is under process?
Answer: Yes. You can file. But, you must have filed EAD along with L2 petition filing itself. You have option to file both together.
Can I request to expedite L2 visa process?
Answer: I dont think so, you can do. What I hear is, you can expedite EAD application. But, Just try. Please call to USCIS and make the things happen.
Should I apply for new EAD application OR EAD renewal application?
Answer: Whenever you file EAD, that will be considered as new EAD application each time. But when you file the petition, you will need to provide previous EAD details if you have any.
