Reclaim time spend outside USA (L1B visa)

Hi,

My L1B visa was approved in Jan 2020. But due to coronavirus I have not been able to travel to USA. The visa is valid for 3 years, I would like to know if I can reclaim the time spent outside of USA to extend my stay at the end of 5 years (in case I get another 2 years extension)

Answer: Yes. The time you spend out side the USA will be added in your L1 status account. You can extend your L1 status with the help of unused days.
