  • L1a and L2 visa appointment in different country

Our home country isn’t issuing visas(South Africa) but Mauritius consulate is issuing non immigrant visas. Can you apply to have your visa issued at a country you not resident/ citizen?

You can but better to ask to their Consulate/Embassy if they accept applicants from 3rd country before to book an appointment and pay the fee.

      Hi,
Can you apply to have your visa issued at a country you not resident/ citizen?
Answer: Legally you can. But, you will need to first check the concern consulate, whether they will accept third country nationals visa application. If they can process then you can move forward for visa application.
Please note, Applying for visa in a country which is not your home country (called a “third” country) can be more difficult than applying at home. Since refusal in a third country is more likely than at home, you must plan well advance for everything.
      All the best.
      Thanks
