L2 Dependent visa holders working for indian company from US

Hi Team,

I want to relocate first & my dependents will relocate sometime early next year. However, my spouse who is on L2 visa will accompany me in the beginning to help me with initial onboarding & setup. My Spouse might stay in the US for couple of weeks & come back to India. Can he work from US for his Indian company while he is in the US for couple of weeks? He intends to be on leave for a week or so & might have to work for 1-2 weeks while he is helping me setup. He will continue working from india till entire family moves .Please help if anyone has been through similar scenarios or have idea on the same.

This is an example when your spouse should not open then mouth and ask that question. Just have them come to the US to help you, work from US if needed, then head back. L2 is not a work visa - do they have an L2 EAD?

Here is my thought on your question.
Can he work from US for his Indian company while he is in the US for couple of weeks?
Answer: To be frank, very hard to answer for this question. Some persons are saying as no issues and some are saying NO. But, As per my knowledge, Since your spouse will be getting paid in India account and it will be only limited days then you will not have any issues.
