L2 Visa Extension vs Stamping based on Spouse's Visa Extension

Hi All,

My Spouse is in US on L1A Visa which will expire in July 2022.

I have a valid L2 visa stamped. Due to personal commitments, I could not travel to US until now. My Spouse's employer is planning to apply for her VISA extension in March/April 2022 (probably premium).

Is this a possibility? - Can I wait in India until my wife's VISA gets extended and then get L2 stamped in India based on her extended visa and then travel to USA? or

I have to be in USA and have to apply for L2 extension from there itself. Kindly help me. Thanks

Answer: Yes. This is doable...
or
I have to be in USA and have to apply for L2 extension from there itself.
Answer: Not required to present in the USA. If you are in your home country and have valid documents, with that you can go for L2 visa extension at consulate.
