Stay after L1 B extension

I am in L1 B, my company going to apply extension for me and in the prallel path they also planning to apply GC for me, so On the basis of applying the GC,

Can I stay here in USA after my extension period is over ( after 5 yrs ) ?

Unless you get the GC, you cannot stay beyond 5 years on L1B. Alternatively you can switch to H1B and apply for the 7th year extension based on the approved/pending labor/I-140. L1 + H1B together is for 6 years.
