  • L1 and 90 days question

    Hi all,

I am looking to move to America, I have been here for the past 60 days, and head back in 48 hours to the UK.

I have a company that operates from Spain, and have been advised to apply for an L1 visa so that I can move to America for 2 years+.

    I have two questions:

    1) I intend to return back to the US in 4 weeks, for a duration of 80 days... in your opinions, am I likely to face any issues getting back in?

    2) Do you feel I need an attorney to handle the L1 application? Is it possible to do it alone? And what are the chances that I will have the L1 Visa by the time the 80 days is up?

Thanks so much for your help.

---- If you are a UK citizen you can always visit the US for 90 days. In the meanwhile if your L1 is approved you can get the approriate L1 visa and come to the US on L1

    2) Do you feel I need an attorney to handle the L1 application? Is it possible to do it alone? And what are the chances that I will have the L1 Visa by the time the 80 days is up?

---- It is always better to have an attorney do all the paperwork and most employers get the documentation done through an attorney to avoid any hassels and ensurre that everything is legally correct

---- If you apply early and get all the documents in order there is no reason why you will not get the L1 approval within 80 days

      Many thanks..

In your opinion, if I was unable to get it completed in the 90 days... how realistic is it that I could go back to the UK for 3 weeks then return for ANOTHER 90 days?

If anyone here has successfully been through the L1 process, I would love to chat with you.
