L1B extension approved, what happens to L2 EAD now with new rule

Hello Gurus,

I have received an extension on my current L1B visa in May 2021 and at the same time, we had applied for my wife's L2 and EAD.
My wife's current EAD has expired in Aug 2021 and she is currently placed on Leave of Absence by her firm.

My question is, with this new rule, considering we are still waiting for her L2 visa to get approved, can she work.

I have same questions, we applied for L1, L2 and L2 extension in June 14th and L1 got approved but waiting for L2 and L2 EAD extension. Her L2 and L2 EAD getting expired in Nov 30th 2021. Can she continue work after Nov 30th if L2 is not approved by that time after this new rule for 180 days of auto extension?

Yes, she can work, until 180 days from lasts EAD expiration (Feb 2022) or I94 expiry date (whichever is earlier) & then will have to wait for EAD approval.
