  • Applying L2 from UK

    Hi,

My wife is working in india has an L1B visa and i am in UK right now planning to file L2 visa. Can you please tell me the chances of getting L2 visa approved when it is filed seperately from primary applicant's visa application in a 3rd country [from UK].

Please advice all the docs that i require.

    Thansk & Regards,
    kp

No issues as long as you carry all the required documents and your spouse is maintaining the valid L1 status in U.S.

      Hi Shervin,

Thanks for your reply. Could you please advice all the docs required for L2. Are there any extra docs that i need to submit in my case?

          Hi shervin / all,

I just observed you said " as long as your spouse is maintaining the valid L1 status in U.S." . But i am planning to apply for my L2 visa even before she travels to US and travelling together after getting mine. Please let me know if it is possible.

          Thanks,
          KP

If your spouse was never on L1 status, then the point of maintianing the valid status doesn't come into picture. In such case, all that you need to get a L2 stamped is her L1 petition and other related documents mentioned in the link that I provided you in the previous response.
