i797 end date for L1A Renewal

Hi,

My current L1A is valid till 01-Jul-2022 as per the Expiry Date mentioned in the i797 and the stamped passport. I am planning to start the renewal process from Jan-2022 as per the company policy. Assuming I am able to file my L1A extension with Premium mode sometime during Feb 2nd week and it is approved within 15 days what will be the Expiry Date mentioned in the new i797 document? Will it be 2 Years from the expiry date of the previous i797 i.e. 01-Jul-2024 OR it will be 2 years from from the date of Renewal Approval i.e. Feb 2nd Week of 2024.

Answer: It will start from the next day of your current approval. I mean, It will be from the expiry date of the previous I-797 i.e. 02-Jul-2022 to another two years or as per USCIS applicable approval durations.
