  • L1B Visa - Approved at Interview, but 'Administrative Processing'?

    Hi All,

I had my L1B Blanket Petition visa interview this morning (14th Jan). I paid the $500 anti-fraud fee, went to the interview and the consular officer approved my visa after a couple of minutes. He took my passport and said I should get it back in 4-5 business days. I was very happy until I saw my application is under 'administrative processing' on the CEAC website. Is this just a formality or is there something I missed?

    Hi
I would be better if you can share your full experience, what are the questions was asked by visa officer?

Full experience was fine. the officer was very happy and asked me what my job role was, so i gave a detailed explanation about how it was specialised. he asked about the office locations and i told him where they wanted to place me. he asked about my schooling and I told him about my degrees. he then said the visa was approved, I saw him write 'approved until 15/01/2025' on the I-129 and then said that i should get my passport in 4-5 business days. no forms (e.g. 221g) were handed to me.

Usually, they run a security check that in some cases it lasts a few days and in other cases, it might take longer, depending on your home country. I have an EU passport and from Administrative Processing to Issued it took 2 days.
