Been waiting for 9 months for L2 visa extension + EAD, no explanation

I’ve been waiting for 9 months for my L2 visa extension and EAD renewal, which were submitted at the same time in October 2019 (biometrics in Nov), 6 months before mine and my husband’s visas (L2/L1) expired, and 4-5 months before the pandemic hit the US. So far I didn’t even receive my visa extension - and my first visa expired in March 2020. My husband’s principal L1 extension, on which mine is dependent, got approved in May. Following our enquiry, USCIS has absolutely no explanation about what exactly https://9apps.ooo/ is delaying my visa approval. I had to quit my job in January when my first EAD expired, reducing our household income by around 40% for the past half year. Everything about this process is a complete disappointment and waste of time. Is everybody else experiencing this? I feel like I’m being passive-agressively phased out...

have you tried inquiring about a case outside normal processing time option on the case processing time webpage of USCIS ?
