L1B Blanket Dropbox eligibility question

Hi All,

I have a valid yet unused L1B blanket approved visa about to expire this December 2022. I couldn’t travel all these days due to Covid restrictions. Now, there is a slight change in job role, title and work location in USA. So, my employer is planning for a new L1B blanket petition instead of filing an amendment after entering into the USA. So, my question is, If I’m eligible for visa waiver (Dropbox) since I already have a valid visa which is still active and in same visa class category. Can someone advise?

You can still use your current visa, as it is still valid - no need to get new visa.

Once you enter into USA, you can file for extension before Dec 2022.
