Guidance on L1 A Dropbox vs Interview with Dependent

Hey Everyone,

I wanted your guidance here. I have an approved L1A petition and am eligible for Dropbox/Interview Waiver but my spouse is not. Since I added my spouse as a dependent in my profile, the system asked both me as well as my wife to take OFC dates as well as Consular dates. I have booked both our visa appointment dates for the last week of August.

My question is should I instead cancel that appointment, separate our applications and go for Dropbox (since OFC dates are available for the month of June in India) and then my wife can later in the month of August/Sept (based on her new appointment date) go alone for stamping?

Are there any chances that her visa may be put on hold because she would be going alone for the interview?

If your dependent spouse is planning to appear for interview "after" your stamping, it won't be any issue.

How can one be eligible for Dropbox/Interview waiver? I am currently in the initial process of applying for an L1A Blanket petition and keen to understand the difference as well as benefit of Interview vs Dropbox.

background: self and dependant wife both have / had a B1/B2 visa (if that helps) and 2 children will need a visa
