  • L1A RFE - how long does it take

    Initially L1A petition filed on 10/13 and on May 10th status changed to RFE; Have sent all the required details to attorney and will be submitted this week; Would like to understand how long decision takes on RFE in normal case? does it go to the Q again as a new application? Texas service center shows that 4-6 months for L1A applications.

    RFE was more of proofs for managerial duties - looks like its quite common in nature now a days - hoping for the best.

    Yes, it may take another 1 to 4 months to process RFE (it doesn't goes to the end of the queue, but will be delayed little bit).

    You can consider moving to Premium.

      Thanks Libra - yes premium is certainly an option- but organization not quite interested - let it process normally as it needs lot of leadership approvals is what they say. Texas Q had been improved quite a bit last few weeks , hope they would turn around quickly.

      One more question - as the initial petition filed last year Oct - till now lot of reportee changes occurred and attrition too. Provided that, I have updated the org structure based on most latest information - hope that doesn't go against;

      Ever since the petition filed the salary revised multiple times that would effect the my onshore salary as well; When I asked attorney to update salary as well when we file RFE they responded saying - USCIS is asking RFE for only managerial duties information thus we do not have to change it. May be I should have stressed to change as it would have changed $XXXK instead of $XXK - not sure if that makes any difference to officer.

        As long as your salary is not decreased, you are fine. Your salary only impacts if that is lower than average. If you are getting a decent salary couple thousand more after appraisal won't change USCIS decision.
        Your attorney is right, in RFE if USCIS is not asking about your salary, do not show them that route either.
