How soon must you start work on L1 Visa

Once you enter the US on an approved L1 Visa, how soon must you begin work with your sponsor/employer, is there a legal requirement to begin within 10 days?

I am not sure if there is any hard rule for number of days you can wait, but why wait to join office?

Once you are admitted on a work visa, you'll need to prove that you are still following your intention on which you got admission into the USA. Just join office for a day & take paid/unpaid leaves (its fine).
