L2 Work before EAD

Hello all

I had come to US on L2 in 2019 and was under the impression that I was eligible to work and I joined in a retail cAfter 4 days during orientation, I cam to know that I needed an EAD as well , SO i quitted and applied for EAD and I got one.


My question is how would this default of mine affect my GC application

I would appreciate any guidance on this matter

L2 spouses (but not L2 children) are authorized to work incident to status (i.e. without EAD). This was made official in a Nov 2021 but even before that people have argued that this was the required interpretation of the statute, and there are cases of people who successfully challenged findings of unauthorized work by L2 spouse before Nov 2021. When was your employment?
