Question on max stay on L1B visa

I got my L1 B visa in May 2006 with a validity of upto April 2009. I came to us in Jan 2007 stayed till April and left the country with in the visa expiry date. I came back to US on a fresh L1 B visa as I was told by my company. This time I got visa in May 2009 and the validity date is till Jan 2012 which is two and half years. I -94 was issued for the same date.

My questions are -

can I stay till Jan 2012 as per my new L1 B visa or do I need to leave early.

Can my company apply for me L1 A before my L1 B expires?

Can my company apply for me L1 A before my L1 B expires?
>>> Yes. They can apply L1A (if you qualify) or go for an H1B.
