Dependent Name on L2 Visa

Hi,

I need your help urgently..This is regarding my passport and visa...My husband is in the US and he is on L1 visa..I am planning to join him there shortly on dependant visa...My problem is that the name displayed on my passport(issued in october 2010) is my maiden name but my marraige certificate(married in 2007) has my maiden name along with my husbands surname..however my husbands name is endorsed in my passport...And in my husbands passport my name is endorsed along with my maiden name and his(husband's) surname...I wanted to know will these confusion in surname affect in the processing of my L2 visa....Kindly help...

That's OK. You will get the visa as per the name that is in your passport. That is, your maiden name.

If you don't want that, you will have to get your name changed in your passport, before getting the visa.
