  • Travel to a foreign country with L1 extension but not stamped

Hi, I am in the US on a L1 Individual VISA. My VISA expired last year. Though I got an extension, it is still not stamped in my Passport. I have the extension papers with me. Now I want to travel to a foreign country (in the Caribbean) for a vacation. Can I travel and come back to US without a valid VISA stamped in my passport?

    Thanks!!

---- NO, you need a valid visa stamped on your Passport to return to the US

---- You may travel to the Carribean without a visa under the revgalidation rule, provided you stay there for amaximum of 30 days and return back to the US with a valid visa stamped on your Passport

---- You can take a visa intrrview at a US Consulate in the Carribean, get the visa stamped and return to the US
