Filing L1-A in progress- travel on B1

My company is starting with the process of filing L1-A. I just filled the DS-160 and am awaiting for docs to be ready from the company and attorney. Meanwhile would it be OK to travel to US with my existing valid B1 for a week for a work meeting for a week and a couple of weeks working remotely from a cousin's place in the USA? Will it have any negative impact in my L1-A application and interview thereafter?
I will of course need to refill a new DS160 with the new travel visit details...but will this trip have any negative impact for my L1-A?

Your B1 trip won't have any issue on your L1A petition.

If you already filed Form I129 for your L1A, then you might be questioned at POE for the purpose of your visit on B1 & you'll need to prove that you will surely return after a short visit & not switch to L1A within USA.

Working in USA is not allowed on B1 visa - so ensure you don't get paid anything in USA as part of your salary (per diem is fine).
