  • DS 160 - Monthly salary in local currency

    Hello,

I have specified my approx. take home (post-tax, net) salary in local currency in my L1B blanket DS 160 for my current employment in India. So that will not match with my India base salary divided by 12 amount.
    Is that ok?

However, the "Monthly Income (in USD):" does match with my US base salary div by 12.

Will the Indian salary pose an issue? I can explain but don't know if I will be given the opportunity to.

If your salary is above average then don't worry. What all they want to ensure is that you are getting paid & not working below minimum wages.

If questioned, you can also explain it during the interview with supporting documents (payslip, bank statement & IT returns). Otherwise you should be fine.

On my submitted DS 160 Monthly Income (in USD): is not matching what is written on Petition. DS 160 includes allowance as well but in my petition it will be gross.
Please confirm should I submit DS 160..if Salary matters on Ds 160
