L1A Individual processing - RFE timelines

Hi,

My organization filed an L1A individual petition for me under premium processing. Around two weeks back, I checked the status and it said that request for additional evidence has been sent and the processing would resume once the response to RFE is received by USCIS. I had few questions regarding this.

1. When I connected with VISA department of my employer they said that RFE details are sent via post and that it may even take upto 6 weeks to receive it. Is it true?
2. In general what is the average time in which one can expect to receive documents from USCIS?
3. Is the response to RFE also sent via post or it can be submitted online?

Also, it would be great if someone can share their experiences about timelines with RFEs if they got one.

That's correct, all government department uses government postal service (i.e. USPS) only.

2. In general what is the average time in which one can expect to receive documents from USCIS?

It depends on the delivery address, it could be faster for main city, while delayed for suburbs. 2-4 weeks is average time.

3. Is the response to RFE also sent via post or it can be submitted online?

By post, Your employer/attorney may choose to submit it via Fedex/UPS overnight. It may also depend on what is being asked, and if that can be submitted online.

Also, it would be great if someone can share their experiences about timelines with RFEs if they got one.

Since your initial petition is under premium processing, your RFE response will also be processed within 15 days of receipt of RFE response from you.

Thanks Libra_14. I received the RFE details. However I am little confused as majority of the information asked is something that I had already submitted earlier. There were details that were listed in my PRD regarding my future role and now the same have been asked to be put in a different letter and signed by a US manager. I am not sure if the information submitted earlier was lacking and that I need to enrich it further.

Any guidance on how I should approach collating the information would be extremely helpful.

Based on my experience so far, you should enhance the same information along with more proofs to prove that what you mentioned earlier is indeed truth.
