Is it possible to activate your L1A/I-94 work authorization but not move to US Payroll for a couple of months? I am a Canadian citizen, so I wanted to go first and activate my L1A/I-94 at the boarder and then stay in US for 2-3 weeks to find housing for the family and return back to Canada, and then finally move 6 weeks later to US permanently. The company is not ready to do the payroll transfer until I permanently move. Wanted to understand if there is any issue/concerns if I travel on L1A/I-94 without my payroll actually moved to US.
