  • L1A - Blanket - Re-Hiring Inquiry

    Good day Forum,

This is the first time that I post, however, I wanted to express extreme gratitude as this forum has been very helpful in several occasion with some quick consultations that other members have written so I can inquiry better in my company.

However, since this topic has not been addressed that much (or at least I cannot seem to find it) I would like to ask.

I got recently notified of an employement termination (Reduction in Force).

However, my company seems to be open to hire me for the same position in another department.
I have an L1A Blanket Visa. That is valid until December-2024 and my passport stamp goes until October-2024.
As I am aware of the 60 days of grace period, and since my company is slow to process hiring, there might be a chance where my offer comes AFTER the 60 day grace period.

    My questions are 2:

    1) Would it be ok to use the same VISA to accept the offer from the company, even if the offer comes after the 60 day grace period?
For information, the offer is the same role, with same responsabilities under the same umbrella corporation, just in another department.

    2) What would be the logistics of the execution? My guess, is that I go to my home country, wait for the offer to come, then when the offer is written in mail, I just take a plane, show everything at port of entry, then go to the office sign the paperwork and I am good to go?
The I-9 should be no problem.

I will be attentive to any guidance!
    Appreciate you all!
