Need Information about L2 visa

Hi All,

My wife got the L1 visa with her employer. I am planning to go to US with L2 visa. My question is, Is L2 visa is applicable for both the male and female cases? means usually L1 visa holders apply the L2 visa for their spouse or children as per my knowledge. For my case is this applicable? and Am i eligible to work in US?

Yes. You are eligible for L2 since your wife has L1. You are eligible to work in U.S provided you apply and get the EAD. EAD will take anywhere between 3-4 months to get approved. Until the EAD is approved, you cannot work.
