  • Travelling on an I-94 extension

We recently got an extension on our I-94. L1 for my husband and L2 for me. I am planning to visit my home country but my husband may not be able to travel this time for work reasons.

    Two questions:

    1) Does my husband have to get his L1 stamped before or with me to get the stamping on my L2?

    2) Can I travel back with just the I-94 extension?

    Thanks in advance

    1) Does my husband have to get his L1 stamped before or with me to get the stamping on my L2?
    >>> You can get your L2 stamped with his husband's extended L1 petition. He doesn't need to have a valid L1 visa for you to get the L2 stamped.

    2) Can I travel back with just the I-94 extension?
    >>> You need a valid L2 visa to re-enter. You will have to return all the I-94's to the airport officials when you leave the country.
