L1 Blanket visa expiring but I-94 valid for 1 more year

Hello,

My L1 Blanket visa is expiring in Jun 2011 but my I-94 is valid upto Jun 2012. If I don't apply for extension of my L1 , I will be able to work up to Jun 2012???

In the above condition , when should I apply for my extension?
Please advise.

Visa is just an entry document. A valid visa is required only to enter U.S. When you are inside U.S your I-94 will decide your status expiration. You can file the extension of status only 6 months prior ti the I-94 expiry date.
