I was reading a site on frequently asked questions by consular officer on L2

- Do you plan to Work in US?

Is it advisible to mention that I am intending to apply and work on EAD?

Any guidance in answering this question?

If that is what you are planning to do, then answer YES. If L2 holders are not suppose to work, then the option to apply for the EAD will not be available at all. There is nothing wrong in working with an L2 EAD and there is no reason to hide that information from the VO.
