L1A Visa after maxout

Hi,

I am currently on L1A visa that maxes out 7 years in Jan 2013. I am planning to go back to India soon and return to US after 365 days.

MY question is that if I come back on the same L1A visa after 365 days, will my cap be reset for another 7 years or would I need to process a new visa before entering US.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

It would be reset after 1 year.

Thanks txh1b. I heard we will need to process a new visa after 365 days in order to reset the 7 years cap. Just wanted to confirm if the cap will be reset even if I come back in the same visa....

A new petition needs to be processed but you can use a valid visa.
