L1 B visa Company Experience

I will be appearing for L1B visa interview, for the question asked how long you have been with the company i have query

I have 2 stints with my company (3 years and 2.5 years ) with total of 5.5 years but current association with company is less than 3 years.

so should I mention 5.5 years or just 2.5 years for the current stint when asked the question during interview.

please help
