  • L1 visa for a remote worker?

    Hello,
I currently work in a managerial role for a U.S. company. I work remotely from canada and there isn’t exactly a canadian office here.

Would I be eligible for an L1 visa?

You would not be eligible for an L-1 visa because the L-1 visa requires the foreign office (in this case, Canada) to be an affiliate, subsidiary, or branch of the U.S. company. Since there is no Canadian office, this requirement is not met. However, you may explore other visa options like the H-1B, TN (if you're a Canadian citizen), or consider opening a qualifying office in Canada to later qualify for an L-1 visa.
