What have others experienced when receiving a "waiting" pick-up date for their visa application?
I am a U.S. citizen and applied at the San Francisco consulate for the L tourist visa about 10 days ago.
Instead of a pick-up date, my receipt indicated "waiting" and the official told me I would receive a telephone call or email when they were done processing my visa.
I'm guessing (but have no evidence) that I got this status because I was born in Seoul, Korea, and was initially a Republic of Korea citizen before becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen as a child. When I applied for the visa, the official asked me if I had a copy of my birth certificate, and when I said I did not, I was asked to fill out and sign a handwritten affidavit form stating my citizenship facts as well as those of my parents (also born in South Korea, but we all immigrated and became naturalized many years ago) https://omegle.onl/ https://vshare.onl/ .
Has anyone else been in this situation? I'm just wondering how long the wait usually is.
Appreciate any insights. Thank you.
