  • L1 Visa - pros & Cons

I only have one more lottery remaining to get my h1 b and my company’s on board with moving me to Canada and getting me back on L1 visa .

Someone please let me know how good of an option that is and what could be the problem with getting back with an L1 visa . Also will I face problems in the future and what are the terms of it ? How will it affect my career?

An L-1 visa would not be available to you since the foreign office (Canada in this case) must be an affiliate, subsidiary, or branch of the U.S. corporation. The lack of a Canadian office means that this condition is not fulfilled. You might, however, look into other visa alternatives, such as the H-1B, TN (if you're a Canadian citizen), or creating a qualified office in Canada in order to eventually be eligible for an L-1 visa.
