L1 Blanket extension consular interview

I wanted to understood how soon can one file for L1 extension at the consulate? I have my visa expiring in July,2025 and I have booked an consulate interview for Dec,2024 because I already have a planned trip. I am just concerned that this is too early (8 months) and the VO might not like it
I am also in a rush as my spouse is pregnent though in a early stage

You can apply for an L1A extension or to renew your L1A visa within 180 days from visa expiry date.
