L1 Visa Extension

Hi

I got my L1 visa stamped on feb 2009 and it is getting expired on Aug 2011. Till now I haven't travelled. I am planning to travel in March 2011. Will it create any problem for my visa extension or in the airport immigration clearance.

No, It won't. Just make sure, that you already file for Visa extension and get a date for restamping while you are in India. You will be able to come back before Aug but the date on the I94 might be kept the same as Visa Expiry date and then you might have a very short time to renew all those. So better, get it extended while you are on your visit to India.

So Do i need to intiate the visa extenstion before i travel and should i have to carry suffienent documents during my travel.
