My L1B was expeired on Jun 2010, currently I am in India, as per the process L1b can be renew for next 2 years, could you please let me know

can I applied for the renewal of L1B now after it expire.

If I can then how much approx time it takes for approval

Your employer can file a renewal petition. With premium it takes 15 days and up to 2-3 months without premium. Then you can apply for Visa at a consulate which can take 15-20 days for the complete process. On approval you can travel to US to work for your employer.

This means that even if My L1B Expire and I am not in USA then also my company can file for L1B renewal.

Could you please let me know any refernce to Visa guideline regarding the same which I can show to my employer

Your employer and their attorney should handle this.

Does L1B Extension/Renewal and fresh L1B application are same. As my discussion with US consulate helpline they said I have to file for fresh application and submit the same amount of fee and wait for same time to get Visa stamped, is that true.
