L2 visa - DS 160 Intended length of stay in U.S

I am filling out DS 160 form for my wife's L2 visa.

My L1 visa expires in Sep 2011 and the petition expires on Nov 2011.

What should we fill for her intended length of stay. We filled it as 3 Years since visa is usually given for 3 years and submitted the DS160 form. We haven't booked the appointment yet though, while doing it we realized that petition is valid only for 8 more months, so her visa will be given only for 8 months.

Should I go back and change her DS160 (i.e., fill a new one) with 8 months intention or leave it as is?
