From L1B to H1B

Hi ,

I have a valid L1B visa and applied for my H1B , my H1B got approved today.So my questions
Is my L1B visa still valid ?
Can i still work on L1B visa ,till i get my H1B ?

u have to ask ur h1 employer whether it is COS or not .. or ask then for a soft copy .. so you will come to know ...

if H1B is with COS and the effective date mentioned is the date of approval then you are now in H1B and should not work for L1 company. If it is not with COS (no i94 with H1) then you are still in L1 and you need to travel outside US and get it stamped to work for H1 company or the company has to file a COS when you plan to join them.

If you dont want to join the H1 company now (if its approved with COS) go out of the country asap and come back on L1 (leap frog!) new i94 with L1, and then if you want to move back to H1 company ..same above rule applys ...
