Lost old I797 / L1 Petition
Hi,
My current employer is asking for copy of my earlier L1 petition to process L1 A blanket. I had L1B in 2002 and was in USA for 6 months. I am unable to locate the old L1 petition now. But my company insists that it is a mandatory document.
Appreciate if somebody can clarify whether there is any validity period for asking earlier petitions? In my case its 9 long years and somebody asking for copy of a doc that is 9 years old is bit far fetched.
If it is a mandatory document, what is the process to get a duplicate of the same now?
