Arrival in US for L2 Extension

I am on L1 B and currently in US. My spouse is planning to come soon. I would applying for Visa extension for both together as it is near expiry.

I wanted to know, is there any condition on how many days before the person on L2 should arrive in the country so that I can apply for extension together?

I heard person on L2 has to arrive country 45 days before VISA expiry, is it true? Will person on L2 face problem entering a country if arrives say 36 days before?

Your company can file your petition and status extension anytime.
Your spouse can show your latest petition approval notice at POE and get I-94 accordingly. He/she will have to file I-539 before his/her I-94 expires.
