Re-Entering the US on L1 Visa

Good day,

I am visiting my fiancé in Unites States Of America next week and I have a valid B1/B2 Visa, however my fiancé is currently employed there and she has an L1 visa. We have planned a trip to Mexico and Bahamas and only now heard that she might have problems exiting and re-entering U.S.A. Please could you assist me in giving me information on what I could do to alleviate this problem. Any assistance in this matter would be highly appreciated.

You have not specified what is your basis for thinking that there would be problems exiting and re-entering the U.S.

thought she might have an issue as she has a working visa(l1) and not a tourist visa(B1/B2).

L1 visa holders are allowed to travel in and out of the U.S.

Therefore, that itself is not issue unless something else is going on that you have not mentioned.

A colleague at her work told her that she is not allowed to exit and then re-enter using a working visa, she would need a tourist visa . Just a concern as we have already booked all our travels and were rather concerned. Thanks for the clearity.

did you guys take the cruise to bahamas? did your fiancee have any issues with her L1 visa while re-entering. I also have an L1 visa and planning to take a cruise.
