how to continue on L2 if L1 holder goes back to India

Hi ,

I am on L2 visa here and got my EAD . I got a job offer from a company but due to some problem my husband ( L1 visa holder ) might have to go back to India .But I want to continue here . When I asked the company about H1 transfer they told this year H1 quota is closed .

Can anyone suggest anyway out of this situation . Is there anyway I can continue here while my Husband goes back . Can I get or apply for any other visa here to continue when my L2 becomes invalid after the L1 holder goes back to India.

Unfortunately that is not possible.
You can stay in the US if your spouse is leaving for a short duration with full intention to return in L1 status, but if your spouse is leaving without any such intention, you cannot stay. You can consult an attorney over this matter.
