Filing L2 when L1 is expiring soon.

I am on L1 B which will be expiring on 15th April 2011 (would be filing extension in next 4-5 days). Can I file L2 for my dependents who are in India based on my current Visa or will it create any problem?

Your dependents can apply for their Visas based on your current petition approval and travel to US up to its expiry. If new petition is approved by the time they travel (before their Visas expire) they can use the same Visas and new petition to get longer duration I-94.
