Did you or your attorney file I-539 with your husband's petition extension? Usually both are approved together, but sometime it is done later. It is likely that you will get it within 2-3 months of filing.
If you are leaving the US, your status extension does not matter at all. All you will then need to do is to apply for a Visa (if expiring before date of return) using husband's extended petition approval notice and return to get an extended I-94.
When does your current I-94 expire?Last edited by kabkaba; 03-04-2011, 04:30 PM.This is my opinion and not legal advice.

As answered above you should get it within 2-3 months from the filing date.
How long ago was it filed? Since your I-94 has expired, I will advise to wait until you receive your extended I-94 before leaving the US.
If you have to leave before extension is received, you can always apply for L2 Visa at a consulate using your husband's extended petition approval notice and return to get a new I-94. Your pending extension in that case will be irrelevant.Last edited by kabkaba; 03-04-2011, 04:37 PM.This is my opinion and not legal advice.

My husband's employer is telling us to wait for some more time to get receipt number. My I-94 expired in Nov 2010.My visa extension was applied in June 2010.Can i stay in the US without valid I-94.Do i need to leave the country? Can anybody pl advice?Did anybody face this problem before?Sorry for Confusing.

You are in serious soup. You should have at least gotten a receipt. Having no receipt makes you completely illegal.
Remember I-539 is your application. Your spouse's company's attorney may help you to file it, but you are responsible for this application. Consult your own attorney and prepare to leave the US ASAP.This is my opinion and not legal advice.
