VISA Correction-Urgently help required

Hi,

one of my friend have renewed his L1 VISA(Individual Petition & vaild till 2013) and for his family in US by applying there. He came back for stamping and while scheduling his interview in Delhi embassy he filled blanket Petiton number which is vaild for 5 months only. Now he got his & his family paasports which are stamped only for 5 months while his work permit is valid till 2013.

Kindly suggest how can he can correct it or what should be the steps he needs to follow.

They can use the same Visa and individual petition to travel to US before the Visa expires. I-94 will be given according to whichever petition approval notice they show at POE.
